combinedUpdate 4, July 20: And here's the final piece of the Marvel NOW! Point One puzzle, and it really shouldn't be a surprise if you've been paying attention: Star-Lord, part of the Guardians of the Galaxy — the space-bound team set to star in a 2014 live-action movie from Marvel Studios. Though we don't know which creators correspond with which characters, Brian Michael Bendis has been writing the Guardians of the Galaxy over in Avengers Assemble — and has expressed personal fondness for the character of Peter Quill — so there's something of a natural connection to be made there. Update 3, July 19: Courtesy of iFanboy, here's the latest Marvel NOW! Point One cover reveal, featuring Kid Loki, Wiccan of the Young Avengers and Miss America Chavez from the recent Vengeance miniseries. The presence of the young Loki certainly suggest he's staying that way for a while longer, rather than returning to his more recognizable adult form. iFanboy speculated that Kieron Gillen, who's writing Loki over in a Journey Into Mystery run that wraps in October and is listed as one of the Point One creators, may be involved with whatever forthcoming project is attached to these three characters. With one spot left remaining, check back with Newsarama on Friday to see who fills the final question mark. Update 2, July 18: The latest character to be revealed on the Marvel NOW! Point One cover is Ant-Man, perhaps not surprising given that Ant-Man movie test footage was screened by director Edgar Wright this past weekend at Comic-Con. Of course, it begs the question: Which Ant-Man is this? Hank Pym is currently Giant-Man, but he's been known to switch identities quickly (that's kind of his thing). Current Secret Avengers developments have placed Eric O'Grady in an interesting position, and Scott Lang is back to life as of Avengers: The Children's Crusade. With two question marks left and two days left this work week, it's a safe bet that we'll see see the full cover by Friday. Update 1, July 17: In an exclusive look, we have the second character reveal for you from Nick Fury Jr's deck of cards. Nova is up next, and there's no big surprise that the Human Rocket, a so-called "cosmic" character, will be getting a major push in the Marvel NOW! future. Nova also appeared in the Joe Quesada Marvel NOW! teaser. With three remaining, it will be interesting to see if all of them will have come from that teaser. It should also be noted that there is a Nova Corps, so this may not be Richard Ryder. In fact, it's likely this will be Sam Alexander, the new Nova who is in the Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon, as he continues to get a push into the Marvel Universe continuity. We'll find out for sure October 2012. Original Story, July 16, 2012: A new Point One one-shot is coming in October from Marvel, and set to reveal some major players in the impending "Marvel NOW!" era — starting with, as seen in this image, Cable, who also appeared in the Joe Quesada-illustrated Marvel NOW! teaser. There are still four question marks left to go, and look for another significant clue Tuesday on Newsarama. Here are more details, direct from Marvel: MARVEL NOW! POINT ONE #1
