After much speculation, 4 Kids Entertainment released its programming schedules for both its Fox and CW weekend animated shows.As Saturday morning fans know, the Kids WB closed its broadcast wing, there’s serious talk about it going on-line in the near future, was replaced by TheCW4Kids. Programming is supplied by 4Kids, who also supplies programming for what used to be Fox Kids since 2001. This Saturday, September 13 TheCW4Kids will debut two new series: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Back to the Sewer and Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D’s. To celebrate the launch of The CW’s fall season of Saturday morning programming, on Friday, September 12 (4:30-5:00 PM, EDT), kids will be treated to an exclusive “first look” at the lineup of shows with TheCW4Kids “Brand Spankin’ New Spectacular Saturday Sneak Peek Party!” The half-hour special will include a preview of the upcoming fall lineup, including a sneak peak at the new comedy Gogoriki, which is expected to join the fall schedule September 27th. In addition, 4KidsTV, the four-hour block of programs on FOX (Saturdays 8:00 AM-Noon), features the new series Chaotic: M’arrillian Invasion, the next chapter in the Chaotic saga. They key characters live in a safe and peaceful world where stories revolve around characters and comedy, not conflict. • TMNT: Back To the Sewers: In an interview creator Peter Laird recently gave Newsarama, this new series will see everyone’s favorite ninja teens back in the present, in their sewers and with many of the friends and fiends that made them what they were. • YuGiOh 5D’s: Set some time in the indefinite future, the city of Domino’s main attraction is a variation of the Duel Monsters game involving motorcycle like vehicles. The new hero is named Yusei Fudo. His best friend Jack Atlas steals Fudo’s wheels and favorite monster card, Stardust Dragon. Now it’s time for payback. X-MEN EVOLUTION RETURNS ONLINE Marvel Entertainment announced that the ever-popular series X-Men Evolution is coming back to the website www.Marvel.com as part of their MarvelKids package. Created by Boyd Kirkland (Batman: Sub Zero) and Greg Johnson (Ultimate Avengers), this series made its debut on the Kids WB in 2000. Marvel.Com will present all 52 episodes of the animated series with the first two episodes. From there, they upload new programs every Monday. The series depicts the battle between the teenage students of the Xavier institute and the followers of the early Brotherhood of Evil Mutants. Making matters worse, the X-Men and the Brotherhood attend the same high school! Cyclops, Wolverine, Storm, Jean Grey and more must battle Magneto’s evil forces. But hey, that’s why we love them. PIXAR STORY COMING TO STARZ The Pixar Story, the biopic directed by Leslie Iwerks about the studio of the same name is coming to the Starz Network on Sunday, September 14 at 11:00 p.m. It will follow a showing of the Brad Bird directed Pixar production, Ratatouille, which airs at 9:00 p.m. See it if you want some great history about animation.
