BLACK PANTHER, GHOST RIDER, Latest Marvel Series to End

Black Panther: The Most Dangerous Man Alive and Ghost Rider are the two latest Marvel series announced to be ending in the near future.

Marvel's February 2012 solicitations, in part unveiled Thursday at Newsarama, called Black Panther: The Most Dangerous Man Alive #529 the "status-quo changing series finale." On Twitter, series writer David Liss wrote, "Sadly the news is true. Our Black Panther run ends in February with #529. But keep reading until the end. It's going to be a wild ride!"

Also on Thursday, CBR reported Ghost Rider as being canceled by Marvel, which was later confirmed by series writer Rob Williams on Twitter. The latest solicited issue of that series is January's #8, and the character and Williams are both also participating in February's month-long "Venom Event."

Earlier this week, CBR reported X-23 as being canceled as of January, and on Wednesday, Newsarama reported on PunisherMAX ending with February's issue #22, the planned conclusion to the series.
