NEW COMICS DAY Twitterama YOU Review Comics! 07/13

Now that this week's Netflix news proves that the comic book industry isn't the only place where people get really, really upset about a price hike, let's count our blessings with another New Comic Book Day! Hey, you want previews? How about exclusive looks at Superman #713 from DC, Executive Assistant: Orchid #1 from Aspen, and 'Breed III #3 from Image? Those, and lots more, are here.

Anxious to see how "War of the Green Lanterns" turns out? You won't have to wait much longer, as the delayed finale, Green Lantern #67, sees release this week. Elsewhere from DC, Booster Gold #46 continues to be the only ongoing title tying in to Flashpoint, and a bunch more tie-ins to that event get issue #2s: Citizen Cold, Deathstroke and The Curse of The Ravager, Emperor Aquaman and Frankenstein and the Creatures of the Unknown.

Marvel has no less a high-profile release than a new Captain America #1, from the team of Ed Brubaker and Steve McNiven. Debuting just nine days before the movie hits theaters, it's designed to be new reader-friendly — much like Invincible Iron Man #1 three years ago. The publisher also launches a much-discussed miniseries with X-Men: Schism #1, where readers will see the events that lead to the philosophical split between Cyclops and Wolverine.

Brubaker and X-Men: Schism writer Jason Aaron's fellow Marvel Architect returns to his creator-owned roots this week with The Red Wing #1 from Image, featuring art by Nick Pitarra. Another non-superhero debut comes in the form of Loose Ends #1, a "southern crime romance" miniseries from 12 Gauge Comics. Lady Mechanika #2 hits from Aspen this week, several months after the first issue shipped.

That darn Best Shots Team has already reviewed those last three comic — plus Captain America #1here, and now it's your turn to speak up. How, you ask? Buy comics, read comics, and then get on Twitter (Don't forget to follow us!), and let the world know how those comics made you feel by expressing your 140-character-or-less thoughts on this week's releases.
