NEW COMICS DAY Twitterama YOU Review Comics! 06/01


Hey, heard any big comic book news lately? While everyone is thinking about what DC is doing in September, we've got another New Comic Book Day in the here and now. If you're looking for the only weekly rundown of new comic book released featuring the trademark wit and wisdom of J. Caleb Mozzocco, head over to Blog@Newsarama for ‘Twas the Night Before Wednesday…, where this time around he lends commentary to Ardden's Comeback Kings #1 and Marvel collection Osborn: Evil Incarcerated.

Superheroes have been dominating headlines, but Ed Brubaker and Sean Phillips' creator-owned crime comic is returning to Marvel's Icon imprint this week, with Criminal: The Last of the Innocent #1 (part one of a four-issue miniseries) Also big from Marvel: Fear Itself #3, promising major developments (speculation here).

All of this big DC news is prompted by their latest major crossover, and Flashpoint #2 is out today, furthering the alternate timeline story along. That comes with the debuts of four tie-in miniseries: Abin Sur - The Green Lantern, Batman - Knight of Vengeance, Secret Seven and The World of Flashpoint.

Nope, that's not all: Image is debuting a couple of new titles, including a Ron Marz-written series with Shinku #1, plus the proven combination of Frank Cho and attractive women in 50 Girls 50 #1. Also from the stalwart creator-owned publisher: Who Is Jake Ellis #4 and Turf #5.
