NEW COMICS DAY Twitterama YOU Review Comics! 03/09

The time is to let go of increasingly stale Charlie Sheen jokes, and embrace the new — specifically, New Comic Book Day. You into previews of this week's comics? Well, check out a bunch here, including exclusive looks at Transformers #17 from IDW and Weird Worlds #3 from DC Comics.

Even though he took the week off from drawing an amusing sketch to accompany his insightful commentary, J. Caleb Mozzocco is nonetheless bringing you his take on this week's comics over at Blog@Newsarama's weekly column ‘Twas the Night Before Wednesday…, talking Comic Book Comics #5, among others.

Flash Thompson going from long-time supporting player to the star of his own comic is surprising enough, but the fact that he's the new Venom? It all happens in this week's Venom #1, written by Rick Remender, illustrated by Tony Moore and from Marvel Comics, who also release Sigil #1, the first comic in their CrossGen revival.

Hey, remember a comic book called Batman Incorporated? It's been a couple of months since the last new issue, but Grant Morrison and Yanick Paquette are back with another globetrotting Bat-story with this week's #3. DC Comics is also hold a Superboy/Kid Flash race in Superboy #5.

Over at Image, the acclaimed miniseries 27 wraps up with #4. Dynamite starts a new spinoff with Warlord of Mars: Dejah Thoris #1, and the first arc of the Chris Roberson-written BOOM! series ends with Starborn #4.
