NEW COMICS DAY Twitterama - YOU Review!

In the immortal words of Alvin and the Chipmunks, Christmas, Christmas-time is here, but before that, we've got one more, potentially even more significant, date to mark this year — the second-to-last New Comic Book Day of 2010. For lots of previews of comics out today, including the Barack Obama and Sarah Palin guest-starring Archie #616, head over here.

J. Caleb Mozzocco got into the Christmas spirit with this week's ‘Twas the Night Before Wednesday… on Blog@Newsarama, illustrating a Christmas-y Larfleeze and looking at new releases including Dark Horse's first collection of web favorite Axe Cop.

As that drawing suggests, today's highest-profile holiday themed comic is surely the Green Lantern: Larfleeze Christmas Special, a comic Geoff Johns has been talking about for what seems like years at conventions and is finally out. Also from DC: Paul Dini, who we have a fresh interview up with on the main page, has two new comics, Zatanna #8 and Batman: Streets of Gotham #18.

Marvel has a hat trick of X-Men titles — Uncanny X-Men #531, X-Men #6 and X-Men: Legacy #243. They're also releasing the one-shot Thor: Wolves of the North, and if you're interested, we helpfully have interviews with both writer Mike Carey and artist Mike Perkins on the subject. Plus, a Hit-Monkey collection — last-minute stocking stuffer for the Hit-Monkey enthusiast in your life?

Want more? Image Comics has Chew #16, with a rather provocative cover, plus Skullkickers #4; BOOM! Studios is releasing the latest from Mark Waid, Incorruptible #13. It's like Christmas has come three days early, or some such.

The Best Shots team has advance reviews of the latter three comics here, but you know what's coming: we want to hear from you. Here's what you do: get out there in the snow/sleet/rain/whatnot, buy some comics, read them, hop on Twitter (Don't forget to follow us!), and let the world know your 140-character-or-less thoughts on this week's releases. Just add the hashtag:

and it'll go into our stream right here! So share your thoughts, spread the word, and let's talk comics!
