NEW COMICS DAY Twitterama - YOU Review Comics! 10/27

Paul Cornell Brings DEATH to ACTION

We're just a few days away from Halloween — and the series premiere of The Walking Dead on AMC — so consider this an extra-spooky New Comic Book Day. Previews of this week's comics? Mmhmm, those are right here, including an exclusive extended preview of Teen Titans #88.

Blog@Newsarama's J. Caleb Mozzocco was artistically inspired Avengers Vs. Pet Avengers #1, but that's just one of the comics he's talking over at his weekly column, ‘Twas the Night Before Wednesday.

What better time than Día de los Muertos for Death to return to the DC Universe, in the pages of Action Comics #894? (Answer: none better time.) The issue even has a "very special thanks" to Neil Gaiman in its credits. Also over at DC, the JLA/The 99 #1 teams superhero icons with Islamic archetypes.

"Origin of the Species" wraps up in Amazing Spider-Man #646, the penultimate issue in the "Brand New Day" era. Marvel's also got a big week for Ed Brubaker, who launches a new volume of his creator-owned series with Incognito: Bad Influences and new story arcs in Secret Avengers and Captain America.

Beyond the big two, this week also has the Beasts of Burden/Hellboy one-shot from Dark Horse, and Image's final issue of Dynamo 5: Sins of the Father.

The Best Shots team has advance reviews of DC's high-profile original graphic novel Superman: Earth One, plus indie titles like Abbatoir #1 from Radical over here, but we're interested in your take on this week's comics. So after getting home from the shop, get thineself to Twitter (Don't forget to follow us!), and let the world know your 140-character-or-less thoughts on this week's books. Just add the hashtag:
