Exclusive: ATLAS COMICS Cover Reveals

Atlas Comics has provided Newsarama with an exclusive look at the covers for the first issues of Wulf, The Grim Ghost and Phoenix, the initial three titles from the relaunched publisher.

All three #1 issues ship in March 2011, with a cover price of $2.99. The Grim Ghost #0 and Phoenix #0 debuted earlier this month at New York Comic Con, and are currently available from Diamond.

As previously announced, Wulf will be helmed by 30 Days of Night writer Steve Niles and artist Nat Jones. The Grim Ghost creative team is writer Stephen Susco and artist Qing Ping Mu, with Jim Krueger (Earth X) co-writing Phoenix with Ardden Entertainment editor-in-chief and co-publisher Brendan Deneen (Dean Zachary provides art).

The return of Atlas Comics was made public in September, with the revived publisher working in association with Ardden. The original Atlas existed for a short time in the mid-1970s and attracted talent including Steve Ditko and Neal Adams, though no title lasted more than four issues.

Newsarama's interview with Deneen and Jason Goodman, grandson of original Atlas founder Martin Goodman, is here.
