NEW COMICS DAY Twitterama - YOU Review!

This week, the comics industry aims its steely gaze squarely at the New York Comic Con, running this Friday through Sunday at the Javits Center in West Side Manhattan. Perhaps that explains why this week's New Comic Book Day is veritably bursting with new releases — for all of Newsarama's latest previews, click right here.

For J. Caleb Mozzocco's ever-effervescent take on this week's comics, including the uniquely titled Batman: Hidden Treasures #1, get on over to Blog@ for his weekly column ‘Twas the Night Before Wednesday….

It's the first Wednesday of October and the first issue of a couple of high-profile Marvel books: the interdimensional crossover event "Chaos War" looks to bring plenty of tie-ins and resurrection, and it starts here with Chaos War #1. Also, mutants get their hands dirty in Uncanny X-Force #1. (Don't tell Cyclops.)

DC's showings include Brightest Day #11 and Secret Six #26, plus the latest installments of a couple of their acclaimed Vertigo series — Scalped #41 and Sweet Tooth #14.

Of course, there's more, like Top Cow's current Pilot Season continuing with the already-optioned-for-film Crosshair #1, Aspen's Lady Mechanika #1, and the Image children's hardcover Frankie Stein, written by Steven Seagle.

The Best Shots Team already reviewed the latter three books right here, but, hey, guess what? We want to hear from you! So when you grab your comics this week — be it at your local shop or on the con floor at NYCC — get thineself to Twitter (Don't forget to follow us!), and tell the world what you think of this week's reads. Just add the hashtag:
