The organizers of the annual Comic-Con International: San Diego are moving forward with an online version of the convention in light of the need to cancel the actual July 2020 event due ot the COVID-19 pandemic.
"Coming soon… Free parking, comfy chairs, personalized snacks, no lines, pets welcome, badges for all, and a front-row seat to… Comic-Con at Home,” reads an announcement video.
This year's Comic-Con International: San Diego, as well as its sister event WonderCon, were both canceled due to the pandemic. A "WonderCon@Home" event held over the past few weeks has primarily focused on panels in a video conference format.
SDCC hasn't revealed any details about thier plans for the Comic-Con@Home event, or the date of the events.
However, SDCC has confirmed the traditional, in-person event is scheduled to return in 2021 on July 22 through 25.
