Marvel Studios has terminated overall production deals with showrunners for two of its shows, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
First, Punisher season 2 showrunner Steve Lightfoot, who had signed an overall deal with Marvel for future productions, has reportedly been released. Lightfoot did not have any upcoming Marvel projects announced, however he is currently in postproduction on a series for Netflix called Behind Her Eyes.
Second, Helstrom showrunner Paul Zbyszewski has reportedly been released from a similar production deal. Helstrom will reportedly finish post-production (filming was completed before coronavirus led to the shutdown of most film and TV productions) and air on Hulu as planned.
According to THR, industry experts expect further terminations of such deals as coronavirus continues.
