Tyler Boss has drawn a variant cover for his Dark Horse creator-owned series Dead Dog's Bite that'll be used by as a retailer-exclusive variant to Forbidden Planet's UK stores and JetPack Comics in New Hampshire.
"Dead Dog’s Bite is something I’ve been quietly working on for the past four years and can’t wait for people to read it," Boss said previously.
"I hope readers find themselves making their own crazy walls to try and solve the mystery before the story is over."
Dead Dog's Bite follows a woman named Joe from the small town of Pendermills who is searching for his disappeared best friend, Cormac Guffin. The police don't have any leads, and don't seem to be interested in digging deeper - but she is. But what she finds are "horrors... far deeper than she had ever known," according to Dark Horse.
Here is the solicitation for the issue, which is due out April 8.
Dead Dog’s Bite #1 (of 4)
Tyler Boss (W/A/Cover) and Ian Bertram (Variant cover)
FC, 32 pages
Cormac Guffin has gone missing. It’s been three days and no one has seen hide nor hair of her. The police have nothing, and the townsfolk are acting more like a funeral procession than a search party. If Cormac has any hope of being found, it rests on the slouching shoulders of her best friend Joe. Joe will need her wits about her though, because, like any story worth hearing, nothing is what it seems.
