Nick Spencer and Joe Eisma's Morning Glories ended almost four years ago, but as the creators have told Newsarama, fans consistently ask about the series' return to this day. And while talking to Newsarama's Kat Calamia about his upcoming series Nancy Drew & the Hardy Boys: The Death of Nancy Drew, Eisma told us that conversations have happened that leave him hopeful.

"I really sympathize with fans still hanging on with us, hoping we’ll continue the book. It’s something near and dear to my heart, so I don’t think the door will ever be fully closed," Eisma said.

"That said, I’ve touched base with Nick a lot in the past year—more so than in any of the previous years of the hiatus, and I have a feeling things will get moving soon."

Launched in August 2010 at Image Comics, Spencer and Eisma's Morning Glories quickly became one of the publisher's most popular titles, continuing on through the conclusion of what was framed as the season 2 finale in July 2016. The duo spoke at the time about a third season, but haven't announced any formal plans.
