Spoilers ahead for this week's
Adjustments have been made to DC's upcoming Free Comic Book Day title Generation Zero - in addition to adding the subtitle Gods Among Us, they're also expanding the Flash Forward epilogue and eliminating a planned reprint of a classic story.
"This issue features a stunning cover by Francis Manapul and features a story - which has been expanded with additional all-new material - starring Wally West, The Fastest Man Alive, which is set to lay the foundation for even more seismic-level changes in the DC Universe," DC told retailers Wednesday in an e-mail newsletter. "It all starts here, and everything counts."
But apparently not all of that story will be new.
"'Flash Forward: Epilogue' is an expanded version of the unbelievable conclusion to the Flash Forward miniseries reprinted from the pages of The Flash #750, which will now feature even more pages of all-new content from the creative team of writer Scott Lobdell and artist Brett Booth."
The final issue of Flash Forward hit stands this week (which you can read about here), and The Flash #750 is due out March 4. Generation Zero: Gods Among Us is scheduled for May 2.
In the just-solicited Flash Forward collected edition due out in June, DC says it will only include Flash Forward #1 through #6 - not listing these 'epilogue' stories from Flash #750 or Generation Zero.
DC said that due to adding new pages to this Generation Zero one-shot, they are changing plans and not including Scott Snyder and Bryan Hitch's Wonder Woman #750 short, "A Brave New World." Instead, they will promote the upcoming Dark Nights: Death Metal with "a behind the scenes look... featuring insight and sneak peeks..."
