Marvel Studios' Disney+ series Loki has cast Beauty and the Beast actor Gugu Mbatha-Raw in an unnamed role, according to Variety.
"In Marvel Studios’ Loki, the mercurial villain Loki (Tom Hiddleston) resumes his role as the God of Mischief in a new series that takes place after the events of Avengers: Endgame," reads Disney+'s description of the show. "Kate Herron directs and Michael Waldron is head writer. Debuts on Disney+ next year—2021."
A brief clip from the show was included in Disney+'s MCU Super Bowl TV spot, showing Loki wearing the logo of the Time Variance Authority.
Sophia Di Martino was preivously reported to be in talks for an unnamed role in the show.
Mbatha-Raw portrayed Plumette in Disney's live action Beauty and the Beast, and had roles in Jupiter Ascending, Black Mirror, The Cloverfield Paradox, and A Wrinkle In Time, among many other films and TV appearances.
Loki is in production for a 2021 premiere on Disney+.
