Marvel has rush-solicited a hardcover edition of Neil Gaiman and John Romita Jr.'s Eternals run in advance of the fall movie.
The publisher informed retailers that a hardcover edition of the series is scheduled to be released July 29, which will retail for $34.99. Normally Marvel would include it in their July 2020 solicitations (which aren't due to be released for two months), but the publisher has instituted a February 24 deadline for orders.
"In 1976, Jack Kirby created the immortal race called the Eternals - an ahead-of-its-time exploration of Kirby's ceaseless curiosity about man's origins and mythology," reads Marvel's description. "Decades later, superstar creators Neil Gaiman and John Romita Jr. have boldly and lovingly reinvigorated the Eternals, crafting a fresh and crackling yarn full of mystery, suspense and majestic power!
"Experience the wonder as the Eternals are re-established and join the Marvel Cinematic Universe this November!"
Around this time two years ago (just before the Eternals movie was announced), Marvel rush-solicited a paperback collection of this same material. A hardcover edition of the material was released in 2007, but has been out of print (in that format) for over a decade.
The Eternals movie is due in theaters November 6.
