Marvel Comics will republish its seminal X-Men graphic novel God Loves Man Kills this April in a special two issue "Director's Cut" edition that includes a brand new story from original creators Chris Claremont and Brent Anderson.

Originally published in 1982 as Marvel Graphic Novel #5, God Loves Man Kills was adapted for the plot of X2, the second X-Men film.

Claremont and Anderson's new story will be a modern day framing device for the classic tale.

The writer previously wrote a sequel to God Loves Man Kills in his X-Treme X-Men run.

God Loves Man Kills: Director's Cut #1 is dut out in April, and features a new cover by Anderson along with a variant cover from Salvador Larroca, seen here.
