Dark Horse will publish a comic book adaptation of Dan O'Bannon's original screenplay of Ridley Scott's 1979 sci-fi/horror film Alien, as announced via The Hollywood Reporter.
Cristiano Seixas and Guilherme Balbi will adapt O'Bannon's screenplay over five issues. O'Bannon's screenplay was heavily rewritten prior to filming by Walter Hill and David Giler, who, among other changes, renamed the film's spaceship "Nostromo," from its original name "The Snark."
Dark Horse previously published an adaptation of William Gibson's original screenplay for Alien 3, which similarly differed from the final script that was filmed.
Alien: The Original Screenplay #1 is due out April 22.
