20th Century Fox's planned Kitty Pryde movie won't be happening, according to director Tim Miller. Miller, who directed Deadpool, said he doesn't expect it'll happen now that Marvel Studios is in control of the X-Men franchise.

"I love the X-Men. I don't expect Marvel to call me and say, 'Come do the X-Men,' so I'm not waiting for that," Miller told ComicBook. "I was really excited about my Kitty Pryde movie. F**k, I love that movie. It'll never happen now."

Back in February, the announced Kitty Pryde screenwriter Brian Michael Bendis was asked about the project and he affirmed he was actually working on it then.

"Yeah, I’m working on it right now," Bendis tweeted. "It’s vvvvvvvery surreal and delightful to be so deep inside the X mansion and the fortress of solitude at the same."

Bendis later deleted that tweet, however Archive.org has an archived version of the tweet.
