Stumptown, based on the comic book of the same name by Greg Rucka, Matthew Southworth, and Justin Greenwood, has received a full season order from ABC.
“This fall, Stumptown has delivered a rich, inventive and fun thrill ride each week with a stellar cast that features one of the most fearless female characters at the center," said ABC president Karey Burke in a statement that also announced the renewal of ABC's Mixed-ish and The Rookie (via Variety). “Thanks to the brilliant creative teams behind these series, along with the phenomenal casts and crews, for delivering three incredibly entertaining and distinctive shows. We’re so proud of this great crop of shows that are all off to strong starts this fall, and we can’t wait to bring more fantastic episodes to our schedule this season.”
The number of episodes for Stumptown's first season was not announced. These shows mark ABC's first renewals of the season.
Meanwhile, Deadline reports that Chicago Fire creator Matt Olmstead has joined series developer Jason Richman as co-showrunner.
