Director Matt Reeves has enlisted composer and longtime collaborator Michael Giacchino to score The Batman, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Reeves and Giacchino first worked together on Reeves' directorial breakthrough, Cloverfield. The pair also worked together on Let Me In, War for the Planet of the Apes, and Dawn of Planet of the Apes. Giacchino also scored Spider-Man: Homecoming and Spider-Man: Far From Home. He's also signed on for Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness.
Reeves "proposed" to Giacchino for The Batman by getting down on one knee onstage at London's Royal Albert Hall.
The Batman is scheduled for a June 25, 2021 theatrical release.
