Jessica Henwick has auditioned for a role in Warner Bros.'s fourth Matrix film, according to Deadline.
Henwick, who played Colleen Wing in Netflix's Iron Fist, reportedly "performed quite well" in her audition. The Hollywood trade didn't specify the role Henwick auditioned for, but says that director/co-writer Lana Wachowski intends to introduce "a female-like Neo character at the forefront of the new film"
Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss have already signed on to reprise their Matrix roles, with Jada Pinkett Smith reportedly in talks to do the same. As far as new actors, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II has confirmed he is a part of the new film, while Neil Patrick Harris is reportedly involved as well.
Warner Bros. has not set a release date, but production is anticipated to begin in early 2020.
