JOKER Sets Domestic October Thursday Night Record, Tops International Markets - Report

Joker has set an October Thursday night domestic box office record, according to Variety.

The controversial Todd Phillips directed film brought in a reported $13.3 million on Thursday night - beating out 2018's Venom, which set an October Thursday night domestic record of $10m.

Variety further reports that Joker pulled in an international Thursday night box office total of $24.6 million across 47 markets, the top two of which were Russia where it earned $1.8m and Australia where it took in $1.5m. 

In all international markets where it premiered, Joker was the number one foreign film for this Thursday night.
