Marvel Comics will launch a line of licensed Warhammer titles in late 2020. First announced on Warhammer-Community.com, Games Workshop's Warhammer comic books were last published by Titan Comics.
"We haven’t got any more details we can share right now (we like to imagine that, even as we write, super-cool clandestine meetings are being conducted in a hidden lair somewhere) but, rest assured, as soon as there’s more information, we’ll be bringing it to you right here," reads the Games Workshop statement.
“I can’t tell you how excited we are about diving into the depths of the expansive universes of Warhammer,” added Marvel Editor Mark Basso. “At Marvel, we’re no strangers to telling deeply character-focused tales set in an interconnected world of stories, and fans are going to love what we’re already starting to cook up with the Games Workshop team for the Warhammer comics.”
This is the fourth major license Marvel has picked up, following Lucasfilm's Star Wars, Cabinet Entertainment's Conan, and Riot Games' League of Legends.
