Warner Bros.'s Joker film is hitting the film festival circuit this month, but one place you won't see it is in Robert Pattinson's Batman - that is, according to Joker writer/director Todd Phillips. When asked about Joaquin Phoenix's Joker ever meeting Pattinson's Batman "ever" meeting, Phillips didn't mince words.

"No. Definitely not," Phillips told Variety.

Although that kind of crossover doesn't seem to fit Phillips' vision for the character, he did say recently he would be up for a sequel to Joker if Phoenix would reprise his role.

"One thing I will tell you: I would do anything with Joaquin, any day of the week," Phillips told TotalFilm. "There’s nobody like him. If he was willing to do it, and if people show up to this movie, and Warners came to us and said, ‘You know what? If you guys could think of something…’ Well, I have a feeling that he and I could think of something pretty cool."
