HOT NOVEMBER COMICS1 of 8
As promised, DC's solicitations for November feature several Batman Who Laughs “Infected” spin-offs, as well as comic books that revisit a couple of Geoff Johns’ greatest hits through the lens of the Dark Multiverse.
DC already released several “advanced” solicitations for November, but among the title descriptions released today are a few new details about what readers can expect in November. Newsarama takes a look at what we learned from second half of DC's November solicitations.
COVER CLUE2 of 8
Event Leviathan #6's cover has a little different format than what we’ve seen for past covers. In this one, the heroes seem to be in the same place as the Leviathan character themself. Four of the detective team from Event Leviathan appear to be defeated by him — Batman, Manhunter, Plastic Man, and Green Arrow.
Does this mean that we can eliminate those four heroes from the suspect list? Or is DC playing mind games one last time before the big reveal?
YOUNG NEWBIES3 of 8
Young Justice #10 will not only feature the debut of Naomi on the team (which Bendis teased a while ago), but it will also feature the “true story of Jinny Hex.”
While DC solicited thatYoung Justice #6 would reveal "secrets" about Jinny, November’s #10 will feature art by Jinny’s co-creator Nick Derington. So readers can probably count on this being a significant reveal of her origin story.
WONDER WHAT4 of 8
Batman and Superman and an “all star team-up” are featured in Wonder Twins #9, reinforcing Jayna and Zan’s presence in the DCU.
And promotional copy for the issue promises that something will be revealed about the two young heroes that “will change how you look at them forever!”
CLOONAN SURPRISE5 of 8
Becky Cloonan is both writing and drawing Doom Patrol: Weight of the Worlds #5. The series’ usual co-writer, Gerard Way, talked a few years ago about a Doom Patrol collaboration with Cloonan that never happened, so maybe this is a follow-up to their past plans?
The issue appears to be breaking the fourth wall in a big way, as a comic book fan will actually drop into the world of the Doom Patrol.
HARLEY'S OFFER6 of 8
According to the solicitation for Harley Quinn & Poison Ivy #3, Lex Luthor is giving Harley Quinn a gift.
With Lex visiting villains throughout the DCU to enhance their powers, it will be interesting to see if Lex’s “gift” has anything to do with “The Offer” event, and even more enticing to see what he might have given her (although the copy hints that it might be a “steaming pile of manure”).
WALLY MEETS ROY7 of 8
Wally West continues his redemption tour in Flash Forward #3, potentially setting things right after accidentally killing several characters in Heroes in Crisis and then trying to cover up the crime.
November’s issue will have Wally coming face to face with one of the characters he killed — Roy Harper — although this is an alternate version of Roy who hunts vampires on Earth-43. According to the solicitation, Wally is going to have to depend on Roy to save his life.
