Ray-Anthony Height will illustrate December 4's Archie: 1955 #3, filling in for series artist Tom Grummett.
"In this issue, the dark side of becoming a young rock star is finally rearing its ugly head," co-writer Mark Waid tells Newsarama. "Archie's about to learn that being a pop sensation isn't all girls and glamour."
Height comes to Archie after a long run of work with Marvel, including recent issues of Moon Girl & Devil Dinosaur as well as designing the Freshman heroes for Marvel's ad campaign for Axe.
For Archie: 1955 #3, Height's work will be colored by Glenn Whitmore and lettered by Jack Morelli. The publisher plans for Grummett to return to the series for issues #4 and #5 in 2020.
Archie has shared concept art for the serie by both Height and Grummett, which you can view in this gallery.
Here is the solicitation for the issue. Look for Archie's full November 2019 solicitations later this month on Nwsarama.
