DC is stressing that retailers should destroy all copies of the recalled Superman #14 and Supergirl #33 sent to their stores this week, and are now offering freight credits to those who prove they have done it.
"Retailers are asked to submit an affadavit of destruction to Diamond. Retailers who comply with this request will be issued freight credits on their replacement copies of the issues," writes DC in a message to retailers. "Affadavits must be received by Diamond no later than August 30. Freight credits will appear on your September 18 invoices."
Copies of these recalled issue have hit the secondary market, with retailers (or third-parties) getting up to $61 for some of these individual issues on eBay.
DC has also revealed the new Kevin Maguire cover to Supergirl #33.
DC has previously informed retailers that replacement copies of Superman #14 and Supergirl #33 will go on-sale August 28 and September 4, respectively. The publisher has stated that only the covers would be changed.
