Idris Elba's Heimdall perished in the opening moments of Avengers: Infinity War - but the Hobbs and Shaw star wants the Asgardian hero to return.
“Of course!” Elba told KTSA ABC Radio. “Listen, Heimdall is essentially part of the god family. So you know, he essentially could be alive. I’m just saying! I’m just putting it out there! The Heimdall character goes way back into, you know, the Thor mythology…And I’m sure there will be an interesting way to bring that alive. Of course I would. Yes.”
And in the wake of Avengers: Endgame, there are multiple places he could return. Loki has a Disney+ TV series that takes place at least partially before Heimdall's death, and nothing is off the table for 2021's Thor: Love and Thunder.
However, Elba also admits he hasn't actually seen Avengers: Endgame.
“I [haven't] it seen it, so no spoilers!” Elba confessed, jokingly. “I know, I know. I have no life.”
Loki does not have an announced Disney+ premiere date, while Thor: Love and Thunder is due out in theaters November 5, 2021.
