DC have informed retailers that the originally-solicited Harley Quinn & Poison Ivy #1 cover has been scrubbed, with a new image by Mikel Janin taking its place. The original cover by Elena Casagrande is shown at right, with the new cover shown above and below by Mikel Janin.
The revised Janin cover seems to feature a different version of Poison Ivy than seen in Casagrande's original cover. The original cover seemed to feature the new version of the character that debuted in Heroes in Crisis. Janin's previously-released cover to Harley Quinn & Poison Ivy #2 also downplays that plant-based form introduced in Heroes in Crisis.
The covers that will be published features a Pamela Isley somewhat more clothed comparitively, with her skin appearing more human (except for the green tint) and more aligned with the classic version of the character, as compared to the stalky version drawn by Heroes in Crisis' Clay Mann.
Here is the updated solicitation for Harley Quinn & Poison Ivy #1, which is scheduled to be released September 4.
