The unlikely film franchise that started 18 years ago about LA street racers and their souped up Mitsubishi Eclipses and Mazda RX-7s takes a full superhero turn this week in the spin-off Hobbs and Shaw, and its writer said the Fast and the Furious crew could someday boldly go where no 1994 Toyota Supra has gone before.
According to EW, while insisting he would "would never do something that takes the audience out of the action," Hobbs and Shaw (along with five other F&F installments) writer Chris Morgan said he wouldn't rule about taking the action franchise about family ... into space.
“I would never shoot down space,” Morgan told the mag. “Never, never. I would literally never shoot down anything, as long as it hits the parameters: ‘Is it badass? is it awesome? Will the audience love it? And will it not break faith with the audience as they’re watching it?’ I’m down for whatever.”
So it'd be about family .... in SPAAAAAAAACE!!!!
