Eisner and Harvery award-winning writer Ed Brubaker has signed a multi-year overall deal with Legendary Television Studios, reports Deadline. The pact calls for Brubaker to adapt himself and collaborate with other television creators in the adaptation of some of his best-known creator-owned comic book properties.
Brubaker will also develop original content for Legendary.
As a writer-for-hire Brubaker has several acclaimed runs under his belt at DC and Marvel, and is perhaps best known for creating the Winter Soldier for Marvel, who went on to become a pivotal character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Brubaker's best-known creator-owned work, including with longtime collaborator artist Sean Phillips, includes Criminal, Incognito, Fatale, The Fade Out, and Kill or be Killed.
Brubaker 's work in TV includes serving as supervising producer on HBO’s Westworld and co-creating Amazon’s Too Old to Die Young.
Deadline does not detail which properties Brubaker will adapt for Legendary.
