Exit Stage Left: The Snagglepuss Chronicles artist Mike Feehan has been awarded the Gerry Porter Prize for Comics in a ceremony over the weekend at the PURE COMIX Festival of Graphic Literature. The prize is for contributions to comic books in Newfoundland and Labrador.

"Congratulations to Mike and many thanks to him for forging a path for others here in this province to follow and for putting our little Colony of Comix Artists on the map," said show director Wallace Ryan.

Porter was one of the area's first comic creators, publishing Zeitgest in 1979. Although Porter passed in 2016, the PURE COMIX Festival (with approval of Porter's widow Debbie McGee and family) have established this prize in his honor.
