The Legion of Super-Heroes has undergone multiple reboots under different iterations in its decades-long history, but it's unclear which - if any - of those versions will appear in writer Brian Michael Bendis and artist Ryan Sook's upcoming revival of the team, and Bendis isn't saying definitively whether his team constitutes a "reboot."
Bendis did say that the story he's telling will constitute the "first appearance" of the Legion of Super-Heroes in "this iteration" of the DC Universe.
"I’ll offer you this: it is the first appearance of the Legion of superheroes or any of these characters in this iteration of the [DC Universe]," Bendis said on Twitter in response to a fan who asked whether the new team constituted a reboot. "We are meeting them fresh. Is that a reboot?"

The Legion has previously had at least four different iterations, with some overlap between versions depending on the era of the DC Universe. In this case, it's unclear what this means for the Legion characters who have previously appeared in the current DC Universe as part of DC Universe Rebirth #1 and subsequent stories.
The team will appear in Legion of Super-Heroes: Millennium #1 on September 18.
