The current Elseworlds DCeased limited series has spawned a spin-off, following another team of heroes striving against a world consumed by a techno-organic rage virus. First reported by IGN, the one-shot DCeased: A Good Day to Die will follow a team of Mr. Teriffic, Mister Miracle, Big Barda, Booster Gold, John Constantine, and others.
"Honestly, as soon as I started writing DCeased, I realized I could write it for years,” said creator/writer Tom Taylor. "With the epic scope of this series, there was no way to fit all the characters and all the ideas I had into just six issues. … We had a whole cast of characters whose tale was ending up on the comics cutting room floor. Writing is about killing your darlings, but these were darlings I wasn't even going to get the chance to kill... until the idea of this special was raised by editor Ben Abernathy.”
Taylor will be joined by several artists including Darick Robertson and Laura Braga.
DCeased: A Good Day to Die is scheduled for release September 4, and DCeased #3 (of #6) is scheduled for July 3. Here is the solicit for the new one-shot - look for DC's full September 2019 solicitations later this month on Newsarama.
