It's been 22 years since X-Men: The Animated series last aired in 1997 - and for longtime storyboard artist and character designer Larry Houston, that means the time is right for a revival.
"The one thing we'd like to do more than anything else is to continue where we left off," Houston told The Hollywood Reporter. The trade reports that Houston and other, unspecified creators from X-Men: The Animated Series are hoping to meet with Disney executives about the potential for reviving the show.
This isn't the first time such an idea has come up - former showrunner Eric Lewald previously stated he's got an idea for bringing the show back. And of course, Newsarama has advocated for such a revival , based on Lewald's comments.
THR offers no other details of who is specifically involved in this potential return for X-Men. More details or information may be given during October's Los Angeles Comic Con, at which part of the voice cast will reunite.
