Michael Beach has been revealed as part of the cast for DC Universe's Swamp Thing. First reported by Deadline, news of Beach's casting announcement comes just two days before the series' first (and so far only) season debut on the streaming service.

Beach will play Nathan Ellery, whom the Hollywood trade describes as "the polished CEO of a legitimate venture capital firm, but his smooth corporate veneer hides his willingness to resort to extreme measures to achieve his goals."

In comic books, Ellery is the head of the Conclave - a criminal organization which funded the creation of the Bio-Restorative Formula which attributed to the creation of the Swamp Thing.

Beach is best known to comic fans for portraying Black Manta's father, Jesse Kane, in the recent hit film Aquaman. In addition to that, Beach is a frequent voice actor on animated projects based on comic books, voicing everything from Spawn's Terry Fitzgerald to Justice League Unlimited's Mister Terrific and Devil Ray.
