Marvel Studios President and Executive Producer of all Marvel Cinematic Universe films Kevin Feige is participating in a reddit 'AMA' Wednesday night, and while he hasn't been exactly forthcoming with information about upcoming films, he did answer one question that seems to promise an MCU storyline fans have been calling for.
Asked by reddit user 'GentlemanGearGrinder' "...are there any plans to incorporate the Ten Rings from the first Iron Man, or the 'real' Mandarin teased in 'All Hail the King' in the future?" Feige responded with a straighforward "Yes."
"All Hail the King" was the Marvel Studios 2014 'One-Shot' short film starring Ben Kinsley as his Iron Man 3 character Trevor Slattery - the fake Mandarin - released on the Thor: The Dark World home media release. In the film, while in prison Slattery learns there is a real Ten Rings terrorist group and a real Mandarin.
Of course with the Disney+ streaming MCU TV shows Marvel Studios is developing there are now two venues to make Feige's promise a reality, with the upcoming The Falcon and the Winter Soldier or the still unofficial Hawkeye seemingly possible fits, along with big screen options.
