The details of actor Numen Acar's Spider-Man: Far From Home "Dmitri" role are still being kept under wraps, but new comments from director Jon Watts add fuel to the notion that the actor will be playing classic Spidey-foe the Chameleon.
“Well, Dmitri in the film works for Nick Fury and I think anyone who works for Nick Fury, they certainly have a mysterious past,” Watts told ComicBook when asked directly if Acar would be playing the Chameleon. “We’re not specifically saying that he’s...but we’re not not saying.”
The rumor of Acar playing Chameleon began with his casting as "Dmitri," who shares a first name with Chameleon, Dimitri Smerdyakov. And of course, Dmitri's connection to Nick Fury may indicate that not all is as it seems with Fury either.
Spider-Man: Far From Home is due out in North American theaters July 2.
