Black Panther's Letitia Wright says she learned that her character Shuri had been killed in Avengers: Infinity War's "Snap" the same way the rest of us did - when she saw her grayed out photo on the recent Avengers: Endgame posters that revealed the living and dead statuses of many characters.
"It was surprising," Wright told Marvel Entertaiment at the Hollywood premiere of Endgame on Monday night. "I saw everyone else in the colored posters, and then I saw myself in grey. I was like, 'I just died out of nowhere!' I think the whole of Twitter was really upset, so I kind of logged off and didn't log back on. I'm waiting to see how that came together and how that pans out tonight."
Wright's comments could be taken with a grain of salt - throughout the remainder of the interview she insists on having no knowledge of the plot of Avengers: Endgame or of her character's fate. This is a possibility given the secretive nature of the film and production, but it could also be another of Marvel Studios' misdirection techniques for holding onto Endgame's twists and turns.
