While Phonogram has been on hiatus for three years, writer/co-creator Kieron Gillen still has it on his mind - and has come up with an intriguing idea for who could play one of the characters should the project ever be adapted for television or film: Fleabag's Phoebe Waller-Bridge.
"In other notes. Er… wasn’t Fleabag good?" Gillen wrote in the most recent edition of his Word Mail newsletter. "And it only struck me five episodes in that Phoebe Waller-Bridge would be the dream casting for Emily Aster. Clearly she has better things to do, but still."
In addition to Fleabag, Waller-Bridge also works on BBC America's Killing Eve and was just reported as doing re-writes for the next James Bond film - at Daniel Craig's request, no less.
But that being said, the Waller-Bridge family does have deep roots in music - her brother Jasper is a music manager, and her sister Isobel wrote the music for Fleabag.
Wait.. maybe Phoebe Waller-Bridge is already a Phonomancer and we don't know it?
