Writer/artist Lauren McCubbin has been promoted to Associate Professor at the Columbus College of Art & Design. McCubbin teaches the Comics & Narrative Practice program at the Ohio institution, and has done so since 2013.

"I love my job, and I am thrilled about this recognition of my work here!" McCubbin tweeted about the promotion.

McCubbin teaches Painting and Color Theory, Visual Literacy, Collaboration, Time and Interaction, Technology as Catalyst, Digital Culture. She is also the Illustration advisor and editor of Comics Practicum, and spearhead's the college's "Crafting Your Hustle" speaker series.

In addition to her work at CCAD, McCubbin is the editor of Image Comics' Moonstruck and is the house designer for Kelly Sue DeConnick and Matt Fraction's Milkfed Criminal Masterminds projects. She previously served as VIZ Media's Shojo Beat Managing Editor and Image Comics' Art Director.
