James O'Barr's The Crow will crossover with Tim Seeley's Hack/Slash in a new four-issue event beginning this June from IDW Publishing. In the series, Cassie Hack and her monstrous partner Vlad are on the trail of a mysterious murderer dubbed 'the Crow Killer' that turns out to actually be a new Crow in the mythos.

Seeley will be writing and drawing this limited series, with inks by long-time Crow artist Jim Terry.

"The Crow defined me as a fan of the comics medium, but also introduced me to a whole world of music and fashion that I'd never had access to before – one that completely fit the attitude my teenage brain was desperately looking for," said Seeley. "It introduced me to the idea that comics could tell dark and personal stories full of pain and beauty.

This new Crow is Angeles Cero, who like those before him was brought back from the dead to exact revenge on those who wronged him.

"No doubt about it – without O'Barr's original The Crow, there would never have been a Hack/Slash," Seeley added. "Mixing Cassie, Vlad, and The Crow has been in the making for 25 years, and my buddy Jim Terry and I cannot wait to unleash it on the world."

The Crow/Hack/Slash is scheduled to debut this June. Look for IDW's full June 2019 solicitations later this month on Newsarama.
