There's been a metric ton of anaylsis of all 154 seconds of March 14's second full Avengers: Endgame trailer, generating all sorts of theories about the still mysterious film. But Newsarama managed to be pleasantly surprised by a Youtuber who picked up on a tiny, mostly off-camera detail that may actually provide useful information about the climatic chapter of the Thanos saga.
At 1:23 in the trailer, Scott Lang looks at at missing person posters in front of an abandoned house. What this tells us is he seems to have returned from the Quantum Realm following the Ant-Man and the Wasp mid-credits scene. But given the state of the house and the seemingly worn posters, a fair amount of time - weeks, months, years - has passed since he entered the Quantum tunnel and this scene of him seemingly discovering post-Snap San Francisco.
This of course, suggests the time vortexes that Janet warned him about has come into play.
Now look closely at his right hand during the scene for that detail you may have overlooked. Thanks to Christain of C-Reel Productions who pointed it out, it appears as if Scott is doing something very familar to anyone who's ever been to an airport. It seems very much like he's holding onto and pulling/pivoting luggage on wheels by a retractable handle.
What makes that details interesting is that is exactly how Hank Pym's lab, with the full-Quantum tunnel, was carried around when shrunk down to luggage size in Ant-Man and the Wasp.
So not only could Scott be bringing the portable Quantum tunnel in the van as per the first Endgame trailer, he may also have Pym's entire lab and another tunnel for Scott, Tony Stark, Bruce Banner, and who knows who else (Shuri?) to play with.
We're all already pretty sure the Quantum Realm plays a major role in Endgame, but thanks to this small, overlooked detail we may have a slightly better idea how.
We'll find out more on (or before) Avengers: Endgame's release on April 26.
