Bryan Singer has been "dropped" as director of Millennium Films' planned Red Sonja reboot, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The trade reports that Millennium's CEO/founder Avi Lerner released Singer from the film due to being "unable to secure a domestic distributor."

THR doesn't disclose if the sexual misconduct allegations surrounding Singer attributed to being unable to find North American distribution for the film.

Last month Millennium pulled the film from its production slate, just weeks after Lerner defiantly stood by Singer.

Neither Lerner, Singer, nor Millennium Films have commented on this issue.

Millennium originally planned for Singer to begin shooting Red Sonja this year in Bulgaria.
