2014's Captain America: The Winter Soldier is trending on Twitter thanks to a a question from writer Jemele Hill asking if any three Marvel movies are better than Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy (which is also trending as a result). Since the trend started, Winter Soldier has garnered 3,680 tweets.

While the premise of Hill's question is based on a matter of opinion to start, the query has garnered numerous responses naming every Marvel film from the Blade trilogy, to Sam Raimi's Spider-Man films, to Iron Man, Black Panther, the Avengers movies, Thor: Ragnarok, Logan, and more.

But the response that seems to be drawing the most heat is Marvel's Captain America trilogy, The First Avenger, Winter Soldier, and Civil War, centered primarily around the strength of Winter Soldier as one of Marvel's most popular film's.

Winter Soldier has gotten so much attention from the question, it's now trending despite having been released theatrically almost five years ago.

Captain America and Bucky's stories are expected to reach a climax in April 26's Avengers: Endgame.
