Elizabeth Anweis has been cast as Catherine Hamilton-Kane in CW's Batwoman pilot, according to Deadline. In comic books, Catherine Hamilton-Kane is the owner of the Hamilton Rifle Company, a defense contractor. She is Jacob Kane's second wife, and the step-mother to Kate Kane (a.k.a. Batwoman).

"Catherine made her fortune as a savvy, bullheaded defense contractor, and all those billions position her as one of Gotham’s most powerful residents," reads Deadline's description of the TV role. "For Catherine, it’s a matter of the bottom line: Batwoman is bad for business."

Ruby Rose and Dougray Scott were previously cast as Batwoman and Jacob Kane, respectively.

Anweis is a veteran TV actor, having appeared in Twin Peaks: The Return, NCIS: Los Angeles, Parks & Recreation, The Young & The Restless, and Grey's Anatomy.

After filming of the Batwoman pilot is complete, the CW will review it to decide on whether to order it to series.
