Tony Award-winning Broadway actor James Monroe Iglehart is set to write a Spider-Man short for Marvel Comics' Marvel Comics Presents. Iglehart's story is scheduled to run in March 27's #3, and be drawn by Ray-Anthony Height.
Iglehart is best-known for his role as the Genie in the Broadway adaptation of Disney's Aladdin, for which he earned a Tony Award for "Best Featured Actor in a Musical" in 2014. In February 2017 he left the production to prepare for his April debut as Hamilton's Marquis de Lafayette and Thomas Jefferson - previously performed by Daveed Diggs and Seth Stewart.
Iglehart had a cameo in a 2015 episode of Fox's Gotham, playing a circus ringmaster.
This will be the actor's Marvel Comics debut, and apparently his first major published writing credit.
