Writer Greg Rucka and artist Matthew Southworth's creator-owned Oni Press title Stumptown is being adapted for television with a pilot in development at ABC, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The Stumptown adaptation was reported as part of THR's annual summary of in development pilots for the upcoming TV season. Rucka and Southworth will serve as executive producers alongside Detroit 187's Jason Richman and Venom director Ruben Fleischer.
Here's THR's description of the show: "Inspired by the Oni Press graphic novels, the drama follows Dex Parios, a strong, assertive and unapologetically sharp-witted Army veteran working as a P.I. in Portland. With a complicated personal history and only herself to rely on, she solves other people’s messes with a blind eye toward her own."
So far, only a pilot for Stumptown has reportedly been greenlit.
